Manchester United target Athletic Bilbao's Ander Herrera

Manchester United are prepared to meet a 36million euros release clause to land Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera on transfer deadline day, according to Sky Sports sources.
The Premier League champions looked short of ideas in attack during Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Liverpool - and Red Devils manager David Moyes is thought to be determined to add 24-year-old playmaker Herrera to his options having had an opening bid of £25m turned down on Thursday.
Sky Sports La Liga expert Guillem Balague tweeted: "United have offered 36 for Herrera. Herrera will have to pass medical and United pay it all in cash but deal practically done."
Herrera, who won the European U21 Football Championship with Spain in 2011, was left out of the Bilbao side for Sunday's 3-1 defeat by Real Madrid.
United missed out on summer transfer targets Thiago Alcantara and Cesc Fabregas of Barcelona - but as well as closing in on Herrera, they are set to make late swoops for Everton's Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines.

Leon Osman hopes the Toffees can hang on to United targets Fellaini and Baines but insists the club would find a way of coping without the pair.
Should they leave, Everton have been linked with moves for Wigan's James McCarthy, Manchester City's Gareth Barry and Chelsea left-back Ryan Bertrand.
And Osman believes Everton will be strong enough to manage without them.
"As with any team, no player is bigger than the club. If someone goes, you move on, you adapt, you find new ways of playing without those players," he said.
"You will end up getting new players in who will make you stronger in different areas. Whatever happens come Monday night or Tuesday morning, we will move on and make ourselves strong."
