Virgil van Dijk continues to attract interest from English clubs after Groningen turned down an undisclosed bid from Brighton, according to his agent.
The young defender was the subject of an unsuccessful offer from the Championship club, general manager Hans Nijland confirmed on his Twitter account last week.
However his agent, Henk-Maarten Chin, believes the Seagulls could come in for him again, while the 21-year-old has previously claimed Everton are keen.
Newcastle have also been linked with the highly-rated stopper, capped twice for Holland Under-21s.
Chin told Dutch newspaper Dagblad van het Noorden: "I expect Brighton can make another approach.
"Virgil is the type of defender who would fit in well in England.
"There is much more interest for him than has emerged so far. There is some from Germany but mainly it's from English clubs."
